CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PARTNERSHIPS
The Milburn Foundation is pioneering unique approaches to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We leverage our deep expertise in public charity matching gift campaigns to offer large and small corporations a tangible mechanism to more than double their impact for a targeted cause. Our CSR program has been deployed very successfully in the hospitality space, but it applies to any industry. Our CSR program is easy to implement and has been shown to drive not only increased impact, but also goodwill for customers and employees alike.
Our vision is to create a highly collaborative team of companies and charities dedicated to attacking charitable causes in innovative ways.
We see ourselves engaged in "activist philanthropy". We seek to only support programs that push the innovative envelope. In some instances this means we assist in structuring how participating organizations (companies, public charities, foundation) each play a dedicated role in a solution. In other instances, this also means amplifying impact whenever possible. For example, we worked with a company to raise and match funds for a given cause and then simultaneously worked with a charity in the same space to have those funds matched once again. In short, the company's impact was increased four fold through their participation in our CSR solution. To us, this is just one small demonstration of the power of activist philanthropy, when companies partner with private foundations like ours. With a creative thought process and approach, old fashioned grant making can be "activated" to drive significantly increased impact and results. This is our perspective on what philanthropic activism is all about.
